Default i need help please take a look

i had a 8ight t 1.0 with a rb c6 with a jp-4 pipe on it running trinity 20% 13 clutch bell and 48 spur truck ran great pulled hard and had nice top speed

now i have a 8ight t 2.0 same motor and pipe same gas everything the 2.0 runs 13 clutch bell 50 spur the truck doesent have top end. motors running at 220-240 at the glow plug but the motor doesenthave the rpms it seems like its running rich but if i lean it to 250-260 it has the top speed WTF

im thinking before on the 1.0 the longer gear ratio didnt need the higher rpms to have the top speed what can i do im thinking the pipe is wrong or the fuel what is going on i have a week to get this thing strong i have a big race coming up i need the truck to be at its best please give me some help

I am not familiar with the jp 4 but i thought it was a two chamber top end pipe,, from what I have read and being in a truggy.. I would try a bottom or strong mid pipe.. like a jp1 or the dynamite 053,, the RB 2047 probably being the best but most expensive.. and dropping back down to the 48 spur should help; : )

imo 250-260 isn't hot if you got the tune,, its blowin smoke and doesn't lose any power near the end of the tank... or bog anywhere your on a Race tune.. but I will admit I like my motor a bit fat.. just easier to drive that way..

Try a JP1 or a 2047 from what I hear cant go wrong on a C6

You get more top end when you use a smaller spur gear. You were running a 48t in your 1.0 vs. the 50t in your 2.0, which I think makes a big difference.

If you want more top try a going up a tooth on your clutch bell.

its not a gear ratio problem i was saying before i didnt notice the motor was not reving high the longer gear ratio didnt need the high rpms now the shorter gear ratio needs more rpms to be as fast you know what im saying
if i lean it out it stop hesitating but its running 255-265 i dont know if its the fuel or the pipe im running trinity 20% and the pipe is a jp-4

at 225-240 its hesitates on the top end like it dont wanna rev

If you used some periods I would understand you much better.

Sounds like your too lean on the top if its bogging when your at full throttle.

right, it should smoke the whole straight and a big puff at the first turn after. i say go to a 15 tooth bell and it will be fine. rememebr you have to tune to the track every week, start by richening the hsn 1/4 turn and drive, every 3 laps lean 1 hour until it is smoking 3/4-full straight, no hesitation or bog then at the end of the tank set your idle, this should be very close to your race tune. if the motor isn't fat the first 3 laps richen it another 1/4 and go from there.

I'd ignor the temp gun, the only thing they are really good for is hitting with a hammer

I seen to many discrepencies in temp guns to use them for any tuning what so ever , just tune for performance with smoke and you'll be fine
