Default The Meltdown! North vs. South Shootout thread

I'm sort of leading the charge getting things ready for the
rescheduled date for the Meltdown at NRC. We're going to do it on the
25th of July. Depending on a few things that are up in the air we're
toying with the idea of a 2 day event.

A little about what we've locked down so far.

Classes: (May change depending on turnout of certain classes and time)
Pro Buggy
Sportsman Buggy
Pro Truggy
Sportman Truggy
Monster Truck
Spec Slash
Open 1/10th elec
1/8 ebuggy/etruggy (if enough turnout split into their own class)

Run what you brung Dash for the Cash $5 buy in.

Trophies, Door prizes, prizes to class winners

We already have a few sponsors signed up and are looking for more.

Racers, would you all be interested in a 2 day event at NRC? I'll see
if I can't arrange to have the track opened on Friday for practice.

There are several hotels nearby and I haven't checked yet but I'm sure a
few camp grounds as well.

I've checked most of the other nearby tracks schedules and there's
only a couple that are running which I'm waiting to hear back from in
regards to them rescheduling.

Let's hear it guys. If you're interested let me know. I'm trying to
get an early jump on this and turn in it a big fun event!

I'll start the sign up once we get a few more things set in stone over on the Trinity Forum Here

I'm down for either way, one day or two day. Tony west said on tech talk that he would rather do a one day event...

I don't care either way. A 2 day event would be the shizzle, but we could still throw a big one day if we dropped the elec classes and maybe ran 45 Minute A mains for only pro buggy/truggy maybe MT

Either way I'm just trying to get a feel from the local racers what they would like. I realize a 2 day event is a big commitment that not everyone can do, so if a 1 day event will get more people out................so be it!

ok, so after some discussion we're going to keep it to a 1 day event on Saturday the 25th of July. We can't run the slash and 1/10 scale elec, but honestly a track this size it's better we don't.

Here are the classes we'll be running

Pro Buggy
Sportsman Buggy
Pro Truggy
Sportsman Truggy
Monster Truck
1/8 Scale electric

Now if there's only a small sportsman turnout we'll combine the 2 classes and run them together. If there's a big ebuggy/etruggy turnout we can split them into their own class.

There will be trophies and prizes for winners and TQ of each class as well as door prizes that will be done by raffle ticket.

I'm still waiting to hear if we can open the track on Friday for practice.

That being said lets start the sign up.

If you know someone who's attending but is not on the forums please sign them up here so that we can get an idea of the turnout to expect.

Bump!

Here's a video of this past weekends MT qualifier for those of you who haven't seen the track

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDHDh...e=channel_page

It's a big track and all those high $ engines will have lots of room to stretch it's legs! Track is easy on tires too

Buggy tires:

Sliver Losi Eclipse
Soft I-Beams
Soft City Bocks
M2-M3 Crimes & Bowties

Track is VERY easy on tires

3 qualifiers on my Silver Eclipse's there and they still look brand new
2 mains on my soft I-Beams there, they still look brand new!

3, but may be mixed with sportsman truggy if both class turnouts are low.
