They should be around .1965 or so, I would consider it junk if it's under .194 or less. They are one of the best wearing cranks I've worked on.

hey, i really appreciate the help! this one is from .1965-.1970, so i guess i'm good to go. it has about 5.5 gallons on it and all is original except for tko bearings. gonna freshen her up with a new p/s, rod, wrist pin, and clips! these are some extremely reliable engines! once you figure out how to tune them you can have fun racing and not worrying about messing with them.

Dont' waste your money on a new piston and sleeve. I can pinch it for you, you will probably get another 5 gallons on it for only $15.00 and not have to waste time breaking it in.

Yes they are but they are not the same engine cut from the same shell. Look at all the manufactors and how many engines they make with different parts.

I thought a friend of ours put Grp rods in his Grp Ninja's but I personally haven't.

Im not 100 percent sure, but a couple of people have said all GRP engines internals are interchangable. I called carolinasrc and they dont have the mr21 rod in stock. It would be worth the try if i could find one.

No they will not - the GRP ROD is about 2mm shorter than the MR rod - I just pulled the rod out of bother engines and compared - they are two different rods
