All major brands have great kit's (Losi, Mugen, Associated, Ofna, Xray) however they all have some mods that should be done to really make it dialed, and to make it last longer and/or run smoother.
These changes are most often not described in the manual.

on an Accociated RC8 and RC8T place the RX bat in the mud guard as close to the front as possible. give better ballance and more steering.
