Default Max Power Offroad engines

Have tryed a search in the off road section but found nothing so was wondering whats peoples thoughts on this range of off road engines has anyone used these engines and can compare them to something else... Looking at getting one the MX 21 MAX M8 T..... Do these engines run well or are they proned to flame outs etc.... I know there is a thread in the on road section but they don't really touch on the off road range that much. So has any one used the engines ??? Will be changing from the Os Speed 2......

The Max Powers are made by Novarossi for Fantini "Max Power" and are very good. The Mx 21 or M8 is better suited for Truggy it has more low end grunt than the CQ5 which is like a Novarossi P5 which I use for buggy. I think you will be happy. I currently run a Dynamite 086 or Dynamite 053 pipe/header.

Thumbs up

I run these motors also, and yes they are very similar to the P5 series Nova motors. They have good torque, top, and good run time at 7-9min depending on tune and gearing. In my Max C5Q, I have ceramic bearings, a turbo head, and the new style Nova carb. It took a gallon to break this thing in, but man it hauls now! I run the RB 2045 pipe or the OS 2060 with O'Donnell 99 or 97T plugs.

Here is the Max Power with the RB Magnesium L2G head, and the new Xray low-pro body.... looks dropped!

I am also running the Maxpower MF M5 & it is plenty enough motor for truggy & a lot of Max team Drivers are usinf the M5 as well the 8 port might be to much for truggy but it well suited for tracks that have a big stright the M5 has a little more bottom all around the motor rips bottom/mid/top

Cheers and thanks for the info i should have stated it will be for a 808 and like i said we run the OS Speed but was after a bit more bottom end than the Speed gives, I see the max engine comes in standard plug and turbo are either easy to tune and do they hold there tune and by looking most are running the turbo head. And looks like the 808 might be over powered with the M8T hey ? My young lad races the 808 for Custom model cars Aust.

Anyone got some links to a good online shop that sell these things i see Amain have the C5Q but no other engines from the Max range, Even looking at getting back in the racers chair my self 09 XT8 with a M8T sound like a good combo.....

Any one running the Max 2017 pipe on there Max engines...

ive got a friend that runs the 5 port with a calandra 053 pipe and a super soft clutch setting. the motor is insane!!! we never have to touch the needles, will run down any motor on the straits, has more than enuff torque to clear the shortest run up, gets almost 13 min of run time in a buggy, and temps at @190!!!! its simply an amazing motor...

Reading your replies looks like the C5Q is the go for the buggy, would this be a step up from the OS Speed......

+1 & you can lean out a Nova more than the O.S. the O.S. losses it's pinch fast if you over lean it & the Maxpower/Novarossi you can get away with it.
I have not had a tuning issue with my Maxpower very easy & holds it's tune well
Just take your time with the breakin process with the Max & it will treat right

Yep will be good to hear peoples thoughts on these engines, That is one area that has turned me off the OS engines is the "loosing pinch fast" thing. I have a Novarossi 528XR that just keeps giving, But also like to be a little different on race day with the engines.

What would be on par with the Toro Nero in the Max range.......

what plugs are you guys running
