The editing can be time consuming, two or three days sometimes, especially when filtering through 200+ clips. I usually don't turn on the camera and just film lap after lap, I like to watch for a pack of cars running close together a capture the cornering, thats where the real racing happens and the best footage takes place. When the clips are only a few seconds long it tends to keep your eyes focused on the screen at all times. I also enjoy getting as close to the action as possible. The rc gods are watching over me I guess and I haven't taken one to the head, fingers crossed! A few times I'm within inches of the cars, but thats the thrill I receive while shooting. Thanks for the kudos guys, its much appreciated! Our next stop in the Championship is in two weeks, expect another MSP video a week or so after then.

Default Nice

I see there is another person going for the track level views of the cars. My favorite way to shoot a race. The thing that is really tough here is that half the year we run under the lights. Lighting at R/C tracks is iffy at best with multiple types of lights etc. Almost impossible to get a good white balance. Keep it up they look great. The editing gets faster. Nowadays I can do one start to finish in about 4 hours. I'm running most of the time at the track but I log my clips before capture so I only have the stuff I want when I start the actual edit. You might know this already but if you are going to do a slo mo of a jump let the car get in the air then do an abrupt drop in speed. Gives the viewer the illusion of speed and improves the effect. Does your editor allow you to ramp in and out of slo mo?
