Default Hottest turbo glow plug

Hi there.

What is the hottest turbo glow plug? Is it "just" a OS P3 plug?

Thanks in advance

That's the hottest plug I know of. I use a p3 or p4 if the weather is over 100 degrees. Maybe I should just stick with p3 plugs. There are some engines that a p3 is too hot for. I ran them in my grp engines and they were done after one race day. The p4 plugs were better in the grp engines. In the speed engine it loves the p3 plugs. What engine you running?

Hi Frank.

Thank you very much for your reply.

As you can read in my signature, I try to run car engines on FAI fuel. Until now I have only tried it in an engine with normal plug. To make that engine run perfect I had to use a 4-stroke plug (no modifications except from removing the shims).
I’m in contact with some other guys, which perhaps will try FAI fuel in their turbo engines. My concern is, if the OS plug is hot enough.
That is why I ask - and to answer your question: No specific engine

the P3 is hot, but the hottest plug I know of is sirio #5... in our testing the engines make more power, but it advances the timing so much it could be too hot for some engines or climate. We also run the P3.

Nova 5's are also very hot but I would not run them in anything but a Nova motor. Sirio 5's are excellent in Sirio, Picco and Nova motors.
