broken radio antenna

I was at the track, when a kid drove a mbx5 in to my foot at mid throtle (had sandles on) anyway a droped my radio pretty good, or hard enough to break my atenna on my m11 radio (not the spectrum transmitter attena).

Guy i was racing with says i don't need my radio antenna it goes through the spectrum anyway. Another guy says that if i am at a big track i will need it. So do i need to buy a new one or not. reception is great so far.

if you are using the spectrum modual, the regular antenna is not used at all. i accually modified my 2.4 antenna to replace the antenna original spot, and took it off the modual.

You will only need it if you back to FM. If you do, replacement antenna's are available.
