Default How to get fuel stains off a surface?

While refueling on a table, I had a minor spill in which some fuel got on the table that I did not see. The next day, I noticed the fuel had stained it. My dad will kill me if he sees fuel stains on the table. What is the best way to remove it?

And before you say anything, I did have a cover on the table to protect it, the fuel just spilled further than I thought.

what kind of table is it? if it is plastic then simple green will work .. if it is wood then you may be out of luck. I would think that nitro would ruin the finish of any wood surface.

If it's metal, maybe a S.O.S. pad or some very fine steel wool with some simple green.? Depends on if it's a painted metal I suppose.
