Default rc8 steering mod help

one thing i dont get about the mod is the part where they say to cut the 3 holes off the steering crank (bell) plate and turn it over and install.i know how to cut it but the turn it over part gets me and this is why,the plate is angled and kind of points a certian way,if i turn it over it will point the other way is that right,or should i turn it over mark it than cut and install, should the postion stay the same or change, should it point the same diriction or the opposite way. thanks for the help

cut both sides and then flip it over keeping it pointing in the same direction. flip it from left to right or right to left, not front to back. that will keep it in the correct position.

i bought losi turnbuckles, but never installed them. i left the blue associated turnbuckles in and have not had a problem in the 5-6 months i've been running with the mod! if you run on a track with large jumps or crash a lot, then don't use the factory blue turnbuckles. part# losa6542, they are 60mm so you need to dremel off 5mm per side to be correct length, 50mm.
