I took some notes of how the car ran. I started the engine, and while it idled, the pinions turned somewhat fast. So, the clutch works, all my pinions turned when the car was idling. Maybe you are right about the HI and LOW. Am I in danger trying to change those settings while the car is idling if my pinions are turning?

Just to be safe shut the engine down and switch it to the high option.

You should be able to select HI or LO with the engine off. Thats the whole idea of having a clutch so the engine can idle without turning the driuve system. If you try to select a range with it spinning you are likely going to eat up some gears. Shut it off, check the selector. start it up and try again.

That should be the HI-LOW knob, but check your manual so you know which way to turn it.

And it looks like you are between gear selections. Look at the notches .You obviously have internet, You should go to the LOSI website and look at their electronic manuals

Default Did you just take that picture?

Or is it an older one? if new, you dont have an intake air filter assembly or an exhaust. I dont think it would even run without an exhaust

It's an older picture, it's from the point of time when I was fixing the kit. I'll just try adjusting that knob, and let you know of the results.

Read the manual before you even touch that knob.

I just finished reading through my manual and it didn't even mention the Hi-Low selector, only in the parts list

Know where I could find information on this matter?

Allright people, I surfed the internet and found a guy that had a LST2 that had the problem of that his LO setting worked and his HI did not. He described it as my problem sounds: The engine revs, but the car doesn't move.

Now, he fixed this by taking his transmission apart and replacing some things and tweaked some things. Here's the link to that persons problem and solution: http://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=39347

So I'm wondering, should I take my transmission apart and take a look at it?

Have you even tried starting the truck yet? You sound really new to this sport, so I think you shouldn't even tinker w/ the transmission yet.

do what he did. call losi and have them tell you step by step what to do. that is if you want to drive the truck. or you can spend the extra money and take it to the hobby shop in your area.
