Default Are the JR Z9100S and the Hitec HS-7965MG comparable

Is there a JR servo that is closer to the Hitec HS-7965MG than the JR Z9100S?

Are there any Futaba or other manufacturer's servos that are in the same class as the JR or Hitec for about the same price?

Thanks.

Is what I use for throttle. It is comparable to the other two. Awesome servo right there. I run the futaba's for throttle because they are so smooth. I always use Hitec TG servos for steering(5997, 5955, 7955).

I've never used a Hitec, but the specs on them are as follows:

7965MG:
Torque: 111 oz/in @ 4.8V, 139 oz/in @ 6V
Speed: 0.13 sec/60 deg @ 4.8V, 0.10 sec/60 deg @ 6V

9100S:
Torque: 150 oz/in @ 4.8V, 180 oz/in @ 6V
Speed: .08 sec / 60 deg @ 4.8V, .06 sec / 60 deg @ 6V

You'll gain a bit more power and torque with the 9100S, which is what i have steering my 8ight 2.0 and 8T 2.0. I would be hesitant to put the 7965 in a truggy with the power listed above, but I have no issue with the 9100S in my truggy, it works great.

THE hitec for steering is the 7955tg. It's the only servo I would run for steering in a truggy.

I use all jr z9100s on throttles, same for truggy and buggy but use a regulator for lipo on them. the last 2 servos i got were ko propo that dont need regulated and at amain are about $135 with codes. i would consider getting the hitec considering price if you are possibly going to run lipo in future. i have been trying some coreless futabas on throttle they seem more smooth than the jr.

hitecs are good for the money considering the price of jr. i bet Lars has those killer new jr servos. i just used his L8 setup sheet.
