truer words were never spoken,

ive invested in a home made engine heater and for my next engine i plan on using it all the time,

as for quality engine - ill stick my neck out and say novarossi, ive got a 367 with 4 gallons on it still cant turn it over when in the car and its going strong, doesnt cut idles all day and makes me smile.

Next on the list is a plus 4 but i wouldnt hesistate to get another 367!

Novarossi wins my vote

V-spec and SPEED are 3 ports. Ninja is 5. I love them all truly. The speed is linear monster. It has such a smooth, yet punchy powerband. The v-spec is the snappiest of the 3. It is less linear than the other 2. The ninja is kinda between the two. It is more linear than the v-spec, but not as smooth as the speed. They all produce around the same amount of power, just in different forms. The ninja and speed WILL outlast the standard v-spec because of the coated crank. For the money I would go with the ninja.

Yes,
And the Mugen has a better block than the v-spec

what do you mean by more linear? a smoother junction between bottom and top? from what you are saying it sounds like the vspec has the best bottom with the ninja having a better powerband is that right?

i think i know what you mean. my vspec has crazzy bottom and screamin top with out to much in between. I mean a barely pull the trigger and it wants to go straight to the top.

although i would like a engine that would pull harder on the top

Not really that it has more bottom end, but the way it puts the power down is less linear. More like a light switch.

They both produce about the same amount of power, but the ninja puts it down in a slightly more linear, smoother way.

Typically that is correct. Even though it doesn't really apply for v-spec based engines. Just something about the design that promotes awesomeness.

Usually 3 ports are bottom end engines with no top end. 7 ports are top end monsters with little bottom end. 5 ports are in between.
