Not for the price, and power you get..They are not .21's though and are not really suitable for 8 scale or up, for 10 scale the 3.3 is a very impressive engine for $100

Never been pinched, nor have any other parts been replaced(besides the rod and bearings). This engine was broken in correctly. Has never seen above 250* F. It is usually kept between 210- 235. It has never ingested dirt. And what I think is the most important factor, It has never been run on 30% fuel. Imagine that. I run all 20% odonnell race fuel, and have no problem keeping up with 30%, and the engine life is evident.
thats wild, only 20. i know 1 other guy that might race as good as you that runs 20. there are prolly plenty more i dont know of lol. have you ever tested some 30 to see the difference in performance. when i started nitro i ran a couple gallons of 20. i was told go to 30. what i noticed most was 30 wasnt as smooth and the milage was horrible. a gallon of 20 would last a week. a gallon of 30 would last 2 days.

I have run 30% before, and truly I didn't like it much. I find 20% to make plenty of power. It runs cooler, tunes easier, gets better milage, and one big positive is that it is at least $5 cheaper per gallon. And like I described in my above post, engine life is clearly better.

i'm back.

Ok i think i am going to eliminate the toro nerro. I want to know more about the ninja. How does it compare to the vspec? I already know the speed is pretty much top dog. I just don't know if i can stomach 500$ Maybe i should take a harder look at the ninja eh?

I bet in the end i will end up with another vspec lol!

Most wont admit if they do something stupid. As for me, it is easy to find buzz on good engines. You have an OS, if you like it maybe you should stay with OS. I run PTM NR and they are great motors. They only grip I have on NR is the crank pins seem to wear out quickly. I too am looking to try something different. I will try either a speed, ninja, Orion US Spec or the Reedy.
still working on the coating

visited the shop a few days ago to talk about it

You can make adjustments with clutch set up/ gearing, and pipe. I think the V-spec and ninja are pretty much the same powerband and overall performance with the Ninja being better quality and longer lasting. I have not seen anyone complain about a good working Ninja, or V-spec...people taking podiums all over the world with stock V-spec's Dreaux!

Dreaux...pay attention to jamminkrazy's post about taking care of your engine!! After break in about 1-1/2 gallons..put TKO ceramic bearings in front and rear, and a new connecting rod..make sure you heat the engine EVERY time before you start it..get a heat gun or an engine warmer..no reason you cant get 10 gallons if you treat it right

I would also recommend changing the wrist pin and wrist pin clips while you are at it. They are both cheap items and can save you lots of carnage, especially the clips. If one of those fails, you can kiss the engine good bye.
