It says that they are metal gears on the description.

Anyone of these three will be fine, but the Hitec 7955TG is the best out of them all.

you are right it does but what kind of metal is resin?

High precision POM (polyacetal)
resin gears allow smooth operation without backlash.

Your right, I didn't see that.

resin is just another name for plastic.its kinda like a real hard plastic...not as brittle or easily stripped as plastic but no way as good as Metal..I would think for $50..its a problem in the works..Stick with the Hitechs for $10 more

POM is used as a metal substitute. So are the gears metal or plastic? Someone may need to contact HPI.

at least a gear replacement is easy and cheap. besides many 'metal' servos have 1 plastic gear in em. lucky for us its the 1 that fails b4 the rest therefore makes easy repair.

My Futaba 9351 has one plastic gear too... I have spares, have replaced it twice... but use it on throttle. .2 seconds is a pretty slow servo, but it has lots of torque. Might be worth a shot on a basher...

Man I hate buying stuff from fleabay. You never know whate going to come in the box. I bought some shocks that were supposed to be off an 8 roller and they turned out to be rtr shocks. I was not happy. I dunno but I dolnow that you get what you pay for and if you are just bashing then a 50 buck steering servo is cool.
