Had the same engine. Now that you have passed the gallon mark the engines needs have changed (tune) as mined did. This engine is now ready to show you its has balls. RB's inherently like to be slightly rich on the bottom end. Get the bottom end straight first. Please don't ask the question how many turns from this or that position because every engine is as different as finger print.

Default Ron Paris Knows

Ok so instead of explaining what you need to do. Click on the link and basically memorize everything in the article. The article is long but worth the time it takes to read.

If you do not know who he is, Ron Paris is probably still the best tuner to have run nitro. He is no longer around but his work still teaches many.

I have lived by his tuning guide and it has never steered me wrong.

Have you tried some fresh fuel? Running rich AND hot with a bad idle is classic moisture in the fuel problem.

tried new fuel, and seemed to lower temps to normal, but still idles less than 5 seconds, it is making tons of power. Could bottom end be too lean?

Yes, or too rich, how is your throttle response.when you pull the trigger is it snappy and fast or boggy and slow..Read the tuning bible on the top of the Off road section that will really help you get a handle on how to tune your engine.

What happens when you pinch the fuel line?

Thanks a ton for all the suggestions guys. After about 3 hours of checking everything, trying different tunes, i got it going well, it was a mixture of bad fuel and me messing up the tune because of the bad fuel.
