well rule of thumb is you go with a buggy that has a truggy version so if you want a truggy, you arent buying for 2 different brands of r/c's

if your leaning towards an RTR buggy the RC8 RTR buggy is a very good one. i have one my self and love it. a good reasonable price as well. the losi 8ight 2.0 is a very good RTR buggy too. it comes with a REAL nice Spektrum radio. its pricey but for all the great stuff that comes with it, its a steal really.

i agree with that...you want to have a brand that can run buggy/truggy.

if u want a reliable buggy that will do good in local i would go for the ofna ultra mbx comp, hyper seires,ae rc8,8-ight they are all good buggys..it really depends if you want a kit or a rtr...if you want a kit i would go with the hyper 9 and if u want a really good rtr i would do u the 8-ight 2.0 sence it includes some things that are important like a started box

Theres allot of factors to consider but i think the biggest one is what brand does your LHS carry.(Parts)And at your track what is common so you could get advice and maybe needed parts from others.I loves me 8 2.0

Stick with one of those brands. Parts support is key.

If you are going to be racing, stay away from the hyper 7. Its old and outdated for racing purposes. Losi or associated buggies would be good choices. If you are going for an RTR the losi is what you want. No RTR even compares.

I believe the 8.5 comes in both kit and RTR. You do have to build the whole kit, as well as add your choice of engine, pipe, and electronics. Both 8.5's IMO are outdated. Again out of the brands you listed stick with losi or associated.
