I have had excellent results with the OS engines. I would say OS. They are easy to tune and seem to hold a tune better than others. BTW what are you paying for the used engine here is a link that if you use the discount code (FPJUL925) which takes 25 off the NIB VZB is 254.99. Just curious.

OS .21 VZB

Buying a used engine is buying a pig in a poke... in other words, there is no telling what you are going to get. Buy something new that is the best you can afford.

three gallons on an os is about wore out. 1.5 on a nova is just broke in if it's been treated right.

Still, there are excellent motors out there that can be had brand new for under 200

Unless you know the seller personally I wouldnt buy them. Been burned and seen to many others burned on a used motor.

Sorry, I will not ever buy a used engine - even if I lived right next door to the person. No way to know if it has problems. What break in did they use? Can they tune or was they running at 510 degrees. Y are they getting rid of it?

Just be careful

Consider this, nobody sells an engine they're deleriously happy with. If someone buys a Novarossi and put's 1.5 gallons on it (like v-dub said, just getting broken in), and then they sell it, odds are something is up. Buy a new Novarossi N21bf for $150 and know where it's been. Ditto the Vz-b, they last longer than 3 gallons when treated right but why is he selling at a loss so soon?

Uuummm, no. Mine has over six gallons in it. It was the first engine i ever bought and learned how to tune on. It still has a ton of compression. I will bet i get 10 gallons out of it.

+1 buy a new N21BF, they are a heck of a motor for $150, very strong, and if you get it modded down the road, you'll have stupid power. Not to mention its Nova so it'll run 10-12 gallons easy if you care for it....
