Default G-27 CS Head shim question ?...

Picked up a Duratrax Raze Truggy with the G-27cs motor a few months ago.Right now I'm running Traxxas Top Fuel 20% and want to switch to Cold Fusion 30%.The question is do I need to add a head shim or not? A few people I know aren't sure for that motor. Thanks for the help.

Kevin

I have a friend who has that truggy & runs 30 % as is, but don't know if that's o.k. He hasn't had any problems & it's been a couple gallons. He is not very concerned about maintaining it, he just uses whatever fuel (20 % 30 %) is laying around so that engine must be very tough.

Yep , i know what you mean. Wouldn't want to kill an engine by just being stupid.

Oh yeah, this is my first nitro been runnin' electric since 1989 that's easy ya burn an esc thats alot less than an motor less hassle than a piston and sleeve. FYI talked to rep. at Duratrax and said no shim is needed for that motor so it's all good

FYI Most Motors made to day are shimed to run 30% but people run 20% in them but you can run 30% in most motors sold to day with out adding any shim's.
