Engine mounting and Vspec help
Does anyone have any good tips on how to make this easier. Im having trouble finding a good mesh between the spur gear and clutch bell. Cant get a smooth roll. Also does anyone know if its possible to move the carb on a vspec because it is hitting something on my buggy when i give it throttle. I just want to make it a little sideways instead of it being stright.

Thats what i mean about tilting the carb. So its not in the way. Not sure how to do it though.

You can get Losi's two piece engine mounts
they are great, set the mesh once and never set it again.

I get the mesh to it's tightest point , then loosen mount , take a small piece of printer paper slide it between the gears then slide the engine over not applying much pressure then tighten the mount. Always worked pretty good for me. By tightest point i mean if you roll the spur you will feel a spot where it seems to be tight like a high spot on the gear.

Loosen the bolt that is in the picture right behind the carb closer to the head. The carb may be very stuck in this case take the bolt all the way out and pay attention to the parts on the bolt. Once the bolt is out twist the carb until it moves, like I said sometimes they are very very stuck. As for the gear mesh get a king headz ez engine mount. That way you set it once and then never again unless you change the clutch bell or spur gear. I hope this helps.

The clutch is a centrifugal type of clutch such that it engages when the engine spins at a certain RPM depending on the stiffness of the springs invilved. The clutch bell should spin freely when the engine is off. When the engine is running at idle the clutch bell will not spin. As you raise the RPM's of the engine and the clutch engages the bell will start to spin, as soon as the RPM drops back down the bell will stop spinning.
