The black shoes are actually carbon, not rubber. Most guys run a combination of the two. For instance in a 3 shoe clutch(like yours) lots of guys run 2 aluminum and 1 carbon. You can also use different combinations of springs. Usually the carbon shoe gets a lighter spring because it is lighter than aluminum. For your ofna clutch I would run 2 silver aluminum shoes with gold springs, and 1 carbon shoe with a black spring.

You have to find the right mix for your track. If you set up your clutch for instant engagement without the traction to apply it, you will just spin your tires
Its an experiment, but a good starting point is what Jammin referred, or all aluminum shoes, with 1 gold and 2 black springs

They are the same shoes, they will work just fine, The Jammin ones are more money because Jammin is a more proven company. Answer RC is still new. I have been running the answer shoes for 6 months, They are cheeper, last longer and are a little heavier so they hit harder..Perfect for bashing or racing. the jammin shoes will wear out within a gallon of fuel

LOL. Different color = different stiffness of a spring. If you want the most possible sanp, run all aluminum shoes with heavy springs. It will snap hard, but wear out faster. For bashing all aluminum would be fine. Us racers like to be able to control wheel spin, and tune our clutches for different conditions.
