He is right. I almost quit and I had LHS owner helping. Comes to find out he didnt know to much and than I hooked up with the right guy who taught and still teaching me alot of things. Now I think I am stuck for life(I think). You have to want to help and ask questions till you get things going right.

I hear all that. I started out in 1998 with Nitro RC. I had no help at all! My LHS guys just waited for me to break stuff so I could buy more. They never taught me anything. I ruined 4 cars and about 6 engines before I learned. That is the reason I post so much. I am trying to prevent other people having to go through the misery that I did. After 11 years I just started racing last November, mostly because of all the hassles involved with racing as well as all the broken stuff...bashing finally got boring and now if I'm not on a track my buggy wont touch the ground..It'll probably take me another 11 years to learn how to drive

lol, im a mechanic by day and the savage is harder to work on than a honda!! but being mechanical i love the fact that it takes time and concentration to fix it. the only thing about the savage is taking the tires off and changing the spur gear(cause i strip them all the time, lol).
