Default Non-Regulated Hitec Servos

I hear a lot of people are running the Hitec 79XX TG series of digital servos non-regulated. Would I be able to run the older 59XX TG serires servos non-regulated also? Thanks in advance.

Check out the HiTec area threads. This has been addressed several times. I believe what they say is that the 79 series has the new motors in them that can take the increased voltage no problem. The older series do not have the same motor in them and that they may suffer an earlier burn out than if you ran a regulator. Check it out yourself.
