I just use a flat ziptie nothing on the end. I run a 8t 2.0 and I find f I put anything on the end the tank opens in a hard crash. Just a flat ziptie works well.

Take a medium zip-tie, put tubing about 1 1/2 inches long on it, close tie onto it self. You should have several inches sticking out of the loop, add about 2 inches of tubing then stick through gas lid, put a new zip-tie on end and cut both ends off evenly. Lenghts can be altered to your preferance.
It the tubing is stubborn use a little shock oil to get it on.
