Default M8 with Spektrum or M11 FHSS?

I currently have an M8, but found a Spektrum module/receiver for $100.

Should I go for the Spektrum or just sell my M8 for $80 and invest in an M11 2.4 FHSS for $220 on eBay?

I'll be using the system with my RC8 and Yokomo GT4 II.

Retire the M8 and get the newest technology. The new M11X is faster and has more adjustments than your M8. The receivers are also smaller.

Ah, not the M11x, but the M11. The M11x costs $425, and the M11 costs $280.

Or you could just get a synthesized module and receiver for your M8 and laugh when you beat drivers with the M11X

Real R/C drivers do it with frequency!

it is time for an upgrade but the one you get is up to you and your wallet.

M11 FM can be had for $220 new
M11 Syth Can be had for $280 new

and as you said,
The M11x is $425 but at that price and what it has, will be the last radio you'll have to get for along time (till the M12 or what ever they deside to call it comes out ) or just get the FM and save up for the m11x, I'm still thinking of that (then give the m11 to my son)

Good luck with all of those, issues with the frequency hopping, slow response, ect....

Not the M-11X though ...

I ended up scoring a genuine Airtronics FHSS module + receiver for $100. It was the most cost-effective route I could take. I'll just use this since I'm used to the M8's menu and ergonomics. I'll save for the M11x (it feels a LOT lighter than the M8). Speaking of which, how much do radio systems depreciate over time? Best price so far is $424.99 from A Main Hobbies.

Does that module fit the M8? I thought only the Airtronics DSS module worked in the M8. If it works then it should be good. I have the Airtronics DSS module in my M11 and it is plenty fast and has been reliable. The FHSS is faster and the M11x faster yet.

Yeah, the module (Airtronics) fits the M8. I just figured out how to bind the receiver/module. Works like a charm!

Do they make the M11x wit an FM module? I've noticed most of the sponsored drivers still use FM.

Cool

whoops! I got the FHSS-2 in the M11. Its a little faster. But not as fast as the FHSS-3 in the M11x. But I only payed $270, I don't think the M11x is
$200 faster so I got this one!
