Still cant believe OFNA would not offer to replace your pull start for free! That, customer service is what they are known for. At least youy unfder stand(from your statement)that a bent wrist is all your supppse to pull a pull start. Ghetto start is ghetto but good for you one of the few that can figure out how to make somethoing that does not work,,work. But I must say the pencils flopping off the body while driving scares me..

sokar 07-03-2009 09:22 PM

Yea I would tie the pencil to the spoiler or something, one pencil will stay in.

And OFNA would really replace my pull start? Maybe I should give them a call before I jump on a starter box.

butch man 07-03-2009 09:43 PM

No ,a bump box is the correct decision but, asking their cust service cant hurt & having a pull start replaced is good till your able to afford all the crap a bump start requires. When your ready the Mugen or OFNA blue alum truggy box are the 2 that are the shit right now.Mugen box has been around for a very long time & was THE box for those in the know for as long, some say the New OFNA truggy box is the model of a rip off with improvements for the mugen box.Think of the new OFNA box as a cheap Taiwan version(same price)of the Mugen box only bigger but also with bigger motors.

Best advice is if you see your self with a future in RC buy the best at the time & you'll save money in the long run.I got back into RC in the mid 90's & thought cheap is best because I was poor,I learned very quickly You get what you pay for. Higher price does not guarantee the best product but usually means what you buy will be relevant for longer & cost less over its intended life span.

You can look in my post on the other thread for the # or.../

Lol ya I've thought of a lot of stuff like that. I kind of have an engineering mind, which is partly what draws me to RC.

So did you get your parts order yet?

sokar 07-03-2009 10:07 PM

They just came today, luckily in time for my beach vacation on Sunday. I'm gonna install them tomorrow and hopefully everything will be good when I drive there.
