Like anything, the new Mugen is the new flavor of the week. Time will tell at the big events who comes out on top.

I would go wtih the Mugen

I'm guessing you mean the 8ight-T 2.0....

I own them both.

The Losi handles very well and is durable. Its also more forgiving than the previous version. BUT it still handles like truggy.

The mugen handles well and it too is durable. BUT it handles closer to a buggy.

The difference between the two is fairly minor. You can't go wrong with either....

They are both top notch racing machines and I don't think you can go wrong with either one. I myself have the Losi just because I feel more comfortable racing it and my L/H/S stocks all the Losi parts I would ever need.

What tools do you already have?,allens, nut drivers, wrenches, turnbuckle wrenches, extra screws, nuts,& most importantly mind set? Relativly speaking losi is the new kid on the block & mugen keeps making the same car for the last 10 yrs with updates to keep it relevent. If you have say a Mugen starter box(or any small box) the mugen(or any truck/car)will fit better than losi.Bonus for losi is they have parts in almost any hobby shop.
I would go Mugen but thats me & I haven driven the 2.0 cars yet & the mugens are blowing the losi's off the track in sportsman & expert class,in pro class flip a coin, they can make anything go fast, but you would not be asking if that was you.

Who cares what vehicle wins, which ever vehicle that you can perform the best and most consistent with is what i would choose. You will never know until you try both.

The new Mugen rules. You Losi boys are nutz. Not even close.
