Default FUEL BOTTLE vs FUEL GUN

I have been useing a fuel bottle since I started in nitro but I bought a fuel gun for when I pit but I havent used it yet. I was just wondering if there was anyone that don't use a fuel gun when pitting for any reason. I know that the gun is faster and more accurate.

The gun's leek alot, but are quick! Never put them in your front pocket on your way to the pit wall! LOL

I've pitted for people who wanted me to use their fuel guns before. So I've tried a couple of them that way. And I prefer a bottle everytime. The ones I've used leaked, have to be refilled, and can't tell if the dang thing actually filled the tank or not. With a bottle I give a good squeeze and know it's full. Maybe with more time using one I could get to like it, but just to bulky and extra work for me as a pit guy to like them.

I use the losi gun. Much faster. 2-4 sec is a lot when pitting and the tank is full. Only tip i have for the losi gun is put a drop of shock oil on the orings every couple weeks to keep it working freely!

The class I race in is very close the top 4-5 guys are sometimes seperated by 2-4 seconds. Recently I have been at events and the difference between 2nd and 3rd is .2 sec. This group of guys seems to drive vert closely togeather. I have always used a bottle until last race. I purchased a losi gun and man is it fast. I was in and out of the pit faster Han I had ever been even the race announcer was suprised he was calling my pit guy the fastest draw in he west. Yes the guns leak, yes you have to refill them inbetween each stop and yrs you do have to cut a hole in the top of your truggy body the size of the moon, but they do work great in the right hands and it does not take that much to learn how to use one. It's almost easier than the p
bottle the gun thinks for you and knows when to stop, it knows when the tank is full. I personally like the gun it is fast and less time in the pit means more time on the track clicking laps away.

I used a fuel gun for the first time a week back and was sold
the guy that I share pit duties with got one and I have never
used one before but we used it in the main and man was it fast
in and out way faster than a bottle yes it leaked a bit and at
first it is so fast that I did wonder if I got the tank full on
that first time I think it will make getting that
next place or staying out front a lot easier

Most guys who don't use them are newer racers who may be a little unsure about how things work. A fuel gun is probably 2-3 seconds a stop faster, much cleaner while putting the fuel in, and can even let you know your fuel consumption in cc's.

http://www.carolinasrc.com/Webstore/...idproduct=4726

The losi one is great, does not leak, and has the cc's on the side to show fuel use. I put a little led light on mine and during night races it helps things out as well.

Having the right tools can mean the difference between winning and losing.....

1.8 second pit stops are messy sometimes....

Fuel gun all the way!!!

I don't care who you are, you can't get the tank full with a bottle in the time a gun does it. They are much cleaner aswell. As for leaking, the solution to that is to not fill it up until a minute or two before your guy is sceduled to come in. Once you fill it up(speaking of the losi gun here) hold it upside down with one finger holding the spring cap fully closed. Should keep it from leaking. I would never pit without a gun nowadays. Even in a 15minute club main, I use a gun. Most pit guys prefer guns too because they don't have to worry about getting the tank full, and not bathing your electronics and air filter. I use the losi gun and love it! As mentioned it does leak some, and you need to oil the trigger o-rings often(I use wd-40) but they work flawlessly at what they are designed for.

I am thinking about getting a fuel gun but not sure with one is the best?
$30 for the dnyamite
$40 for the losi
$60 for the RB

whats the best gun for the buck. I like the way the RB looks but I dont know if you can see how much fuel is in the gun or is there other brands that are better?

Losi...lube the o-rings at the trigger w/ diff fluid before you use it. Mine doesn't leak at all.

I would go losi. It's fast and lasts a long time(mine is atleast 2 years old). The dynaimte one is big, and not very fast. The RB one is just way too pricey, and you can't see the fuel, so you don't know when the tank is full.
