Most fuel economical .21 you have ever had?
Hello
I am going to be competing in an enduro event with my buggy or truggy (3hrs), I am going to be taking part in it with a .21 race motor and was wondering which is the most fuel economical as my local track is very dusty and I currently have an OS .21 speed and am just making 10mins in my truggy with a 6.5mm restrictor and throttle travel set to 75% of the 6.5mm restrictor... If you guys could list some extremely fuel economical motors I would really appreciate it... Thankyou |

So you are saying that the Novarossi N21B ($180) gets better run time than my OS speed

I was thinking more along the lines of an:
RB WS7III (heard they get 14mins) Novarossi plus 4 Go Tech .21 5 port Sirio EVO 4 Kanai Heard they are the most fuel economical. I want to buy an engine that will be the most fuel economical and not buy one and make a mistake and try selling it. Thanks |
I have an os speed in my 2.0 truggy and I get 10.5 to 11 on a large track with a 6.5mm restrictor and an eb mods head button. The button makes it so you are on the throttle much less because it moves the powerband and increases both low and high. Best combo ever. I also run a mugen 2042 and mugen L shaped header. This combo rocks.
The powerhousercperfoemance.com modded .21 with a 7mm restrictor A 053 pipe and long header will get about the same runtime. Both engines are great. I highly reccomed both. |
Stock 21B Limited still running rich and made a 12 min main on 1 tank in my truggy at the Nitro Pit which is a 125x200 track area and power to burn.
Never heard that from an OS that I know of. Houston knows motors, listen to what he has to say. |

Mine would run under 220 all the time, it hit 240 on me once after a race but that was the highest it had ever been.
Got my carb out of wack letting other people touch it so I sent it to Fusion to get squared away. Just got it back but I need to get it put back in to run but I'm just trying to decide put it in the buggy where it is supposed to go or the truggy since it is what I am running mostly right now. I want the run times back over my 28 at around 6.5 to 7 minutes. |
Honestly, it is not really the run time that you should be worried about. The longevity of the motor and the clutch are the biggest things. We did an endurance like yours in CO and these were the biggest problems. Some of the motors (I won't mention brands) didn't hold up and only a few did. Any race motor should take the abuse with the proper tune. Just make sure everything else holds up. Its nitro...things break.

ive got a standard v-spec in my buggy.. and that gets around 13 - 14minutes a tank.

Try this, surprisingly good!
http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/rc-eng...t-p-25076.html I paired it with an OFNA 053. Nice smooth managable power and very good fuel economy. Plus you won't feel sorry for it when running on the track, which is the key point :D |
