Questions?? king motor clone

i just bought a king motor clone the buggy keeps on smokeing the bevel gear in the diff is it just me or is this a common problem any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

He's talking about the main diff gear in the tranny.

The cure to this is to replace the whole tranny with one from a HPI Baja SS kit. It has the nice aluminum diff gear and carrier. You can find them for cheap on ebay. Just look up baja 5b ss and you will normally find 3 or 4 people parting them out.

It's a taiwanese copy or "clone" of a HPI Baja 5B 1/5th Gas buggy. They look 99% identical and use 99% of the exact same parts but they cost 1/2 of what the hpi does.
