used motors
my local hobby shop sell used motors some are just blocks others complete with a exhaust pipe anything in this box for $5 i was thinkin it isn't to much $$$ to rebuild these motors could I make a profit for rebuilding and sell these motors as reconditioned

You would need to replace piston and sleeve, connecting rod, and maybe the crankshaft and ther eis the possibility of a bad case or carb. Not worth it IMO. Those used engines would be best for someone who already has the engine, and buys a used one for parts.

Depends on what they are. For $5 I'd probably buy any DECENT cores (OS VSPEC, anything from RB, anything from Novarossi, etc...) but leave the rest of them alone.

A Used engine for $5,-? I wouldn't do it. Probably you pay same of a new engine to repair this espcially when they need a new crankhouse (cracked?). Invest your money in a new motor, I think a hyper 8p will do the job.
