No damage at all just the cells will probably be out by .5 or more of a volt between the two but there will not be damage

thanks mate, relieved to hear that...

by the way, i heard that LiFe can be chargedat rate of 5C?
any difference (in terms of performance and runtime, etc) if charged at 5C or 1C?

does LiFe hold its charge well like Lipo or it'll 'drain-off' by itself like NiMh when not in use for 1-2weeks?

The battery can be charged at 15c with no damage and no loss of run time but like all batteries i recommend the lowest possible thats just me the slower the better .

picture a cylinder like an oxy tank ok the slower you fill it the better chance of filling all the capacity gaps right ?that's the same way with batteries less heat less damage to cells because try filling the tank at full speed it will either explode or have structural damage .Not saying that the bettery will get damage because it wont as they have been tested at 15c but i still recommened slow charge gives you a clear mind thats all .nothing like having a clear head before and during a A main final.

no they dont lose there voltage like nimh so as they have a longer shelf life than any other battery type

i hope this helps you .

regards Angelo

did some practicing this week working on fuel mileage. was doing great and then my truck just stopped. finally figured out that it was my receiver shutting down due to low voltage. after adding up all my running, i was amazed that i had run over 1 1/2 hours before shutting down. these are the best batteries i have ever owned!!! my next purchase will be a pair for my starter box. thanks for the excellent batteries cobraracing!!

Is anyone successfully charging these batteries with the Ice or Checkpoint version of the ice?

Couldn't find the correct settings when I looked...

You cannot charge it with the checkpoint and ice chargers as they dont have the life setting which is 3.3v per cell compared to lipo 3.7v per cell .Now even if you could change the voltage setting the charging patterns for lipo and life are different .

You need to upgrade the charger.

I just called and talked to Duratrax about the Ice charger being capable of charging these and they said no. I then asked if they planned to do a firmware/software upgrade to make them capable and they again said no. Not enough demand for it and no plans in the near future of making it happen. So I'm looking at selling the Ice and buying a charger capable of doing all types.

Angelo

Ive two 1400mah batteries, and the Im using the swallow EQ charger, set for the Life charge cycle....Ive cycled the batteries 5 times now. and the most they will take is 1170 mah.....they actually discharge more than they charge..one cycle it discharged 1210 mah and stopped at 5.3 volts the EQ will only discharge at a maxium 1.00amp, and starts the charge cycle at 1.80 amps, dropping off to about .30 amps when it peaks

several guys at the club are getting similar MAHs into thier cells, we all use the swallow EQ....are we doing something wrong. or are these batteries not 1400 mah.....or is it our chargers ?

what battery capacity's are the rest of you guys getting, and what chargers are you using?

not trying to stir any shit either..as I want the batteries to work...and perhaps there are some lessons about the batteries that you guys can tell me

another user of these batteries has only been able to charge them to a MAX of 1050 mah. after a discharge cycle. and they are only discharging about the same.....

has anyone else experienced this ?
