8t 2.0 vs MBX6t
#31
Well for starters just look at the body, looks a lot like a losi 2.0 and then theres the ride height front and rear its exactly the same to the mm. I know there is more I just havent looked hard enough. Just look at what happened when the original 8 came out. All the other companies struggled to keep up with the center driveline, lightened drivetrain and razor sharp handling. The last company to surrender was Kyosho. Even Tyamia came up with a new twist on moving the engine to center by tilting it, but then again the stole that from Traxxas. I like the way the Mugen looks out on the track, I always have. I do not like the ball type front suspension I think it is dated and begs for new technology. I have also heard the buggy is on the fragile side so this has to carry over to the truggy. I am just saying there are several similarities between the 6t and the 2.0. Thats all. Besides its only my 2 cents not like it really makes that big of a difference anyway, just my 2 cents.
I dont see where Mugen copied Losi - the trucks look nothing the same to me from body to chassis.
Now dont put words in my mouth - I never said the mugen truck sucked or was bad - simply saying after a BIG race with pro guy driving - the Losi simply out preformed the Mugen trun in and turn out

both are great trucks...it just depends on what feels best to you..I have had kyosho, xray, and losi, but not a Mugen. I have wrenched on them and have driven one, but that is it. The new Mugen is rock solid imo and more foregiving the Losi..it may not be able to turn under the Losi, but it does appear to have madd on power steering. The Losi's to me are very setup intensive...if something is off, you know it right away. All the big name trucks are top quality, but there is most certainly a difference in the longevity and fitting of parts between them. I can say with certainty (of the ones I have owned) that xray and kyosho plastics, metals, and parts are of far higher quality then Losi - they do not wear out..my Losi got clapped out very quickly...I have over 10 gallons on my kyosho and it is as tight as the day I bought it....every Mugen I have ever seen has had similar longevity as K and Xray cars...it is not very often that I have seen a Mugen DNF a race either...they are extremely tough trucks. Best thing is to drive both and see what you like..there is no doubt they are both extremely fast trucks

Well looks like I will order a MBX6-T and try it out. I currently have the RC8T-E, the Losi 8T 2.0 which are both brushless and run the exact same setups. I will add the Mugen with the exact same motor setup and batteries and test them myself on our track here on the clock. Time to see which one really performs the best. Same tires, same day, same motors. I could give two craps which brand I run...I just want to win and be consistent. No biased crap.
