Default J.R z650 servo

I installed a hitec 7955 for my steering (super smooth). And the jr 650 that i origianally had on my steering is a good bit faster then the cheap hitec that i had for my throttle. But i am nervous about using it, because if you turn it with your hand one way it goes easy, but when you turn it the other way it's pretty friken hard to turn. I mean it would take 50 rubber bands and springs on it to make a throttle return. Thing is, when i turn it on, it works just fine. Does this sound bothersome?? I think i am just going to use my cheap hitec on my throttle for now until i can get the better one. But the jr i have is plenty fast enough, but i would only use it if i knew it was okay. Does this scenario sound normal?

I never had a servo break or freeze up, but a throtle servo stuck at WOT scares the shit out of me. And i don't think a fail safe matters in this scenario.
