Link? I personally would NEVER buy a car where you don't even know what engine it comes with.

Its brand new in the box, so the stock engine that OFNA puts in their buggies is what comes with it. I just dont know the stock OFNA engine. Its either the Force .21 or the Macstar .28. The stupid website wont allow me to post the link. Whats the deal with that? Ebay Item # 290309460052.

The Hyper 8.5 (or 8 with the 8.5 upgrade) is a good buggy. In fact, some of the team drivers kept driving it even when the Hyper 9 became available. (They may have all switched now though.)

MUCH better than ANY of the other OFNA cars you listed.

If its the same as the one A-Main sells then it should be the Macstar .28 ...

Is that the OFNA one? Oh well, I couldn't seem to find one on Ebay. Besides, I believe the Hyper 8.5 is 4wd anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

How is the Macstar .28? Is it reliable? I heard its a bitch to tune. Is it faster than, say, the TRX 3.3?

Do some research before you post instantly..... Here is the ST-1, http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...or-Fuel-Bottle

Ebay is more expensive than amain, and amain is alot more reliable. And a truggy would suit you better.

ALL big block engines are more powerful than the crappy TRX 3.3.

I've already said, I don't want to go on a parts hunt with a brand I'm barely familiar with. One thing I've learned in this hobby is you get what you pay for, and I wonder what sacrifices are being made with that truggy compared to the Hyper 8.5.

And its good to know that the Macstar will be faster than the TRX. Any thoughts on this engine?

For the record, ebay was cheaper than Amain. Its much easier to deal with individual sellers than giant corporations.
