I have been searching on here and can't really find any great specifics. I am planning on upgrading all the parts on both my buggy and truggy to the 2.0 or whatever else is better out there. My list so far:


Flex Chassis (for the JC truggy body)
Body
Chassis Guards
Rear CVA
Servo saver plastics
Alum servo arm
Ackerman plates?

I already have the brakes and servo holder.

I read somewhere that carriers can help the steering? My biggest problem on the 1.0 is the steering so that is my main concern because i am not advanced enough to be doing the power on in every corner.

If anyone has anything else that is good helps let me know.

PS my style is kinda fast but VERY inconsistant.

and a word of advice, the money your going to pour into converting it should be very close to how much the actual race roller is, even when you account for the man hours it's going to take replacing all the parts anf putting them back together

Are you trying to convert the 1.0 to the 2.0?


If so its going to cost alot - ALOT of difference between the 2

No not completely I just want the sweet jconcepts body for the truggy and i would like a little bit more steering.

I'm lost - your going to a longer chassis just for a body? If you do that it will be narrow. You will not make it turn better that what it is by extending the chassis. I think its going to flip more. the 2.0 is longer and wider with upgraded shocks system with helps with the turning.

increasing steering is dependent on your setup and not so much the upgrades.

As for the rest im kinda young yet and still learning. I've ran a couple of the AD setups from TL site and i was thinking about trying that easy to drive setup? Maybe I am just over thinking it cause I can throw down pretty fast lap times when im mad and not thinking.

truggy longer chassis is must and also must get the 2.0 front and rear body mounts if run 1.0 rear shock tower will have to drill new holes for body posts its easy then you just need the rear center cva shaft after that wouldnt do much else it will not be skinnier than 2.0 cause will use the 1/2 offset rims still. 2.0 uses 0 offset rims. i recommend the 1.5 over the 2.0 i have one and it is better than the 2.0 for me anyway as for set up steering can be gained a few ways best to try first is toe set it at either 0 or 1deg. in yes in not out toe in will give more steering. also make sure droop is right in the fron and rear of car vry in portant should be 95mm in front and 110 in back good luck pm me if this stuff dosnt get it turning better

the Longer suspension arms and longer shocks add more droop and more over all travel.....I personally think that the genuine 2.0T is much better overall then a 1.5T or even 1.75T where mine is currently sitting....only thing left is the arms/bones and shocks....either way i would Not recommend doing the upgrade thing for the body alone......buy a real 2.0T and use your 1.0's as basher's or convert them to electric....i got to test my truck last week on 2 occasion's 1 day with damp tacky condition's and 1 day with Bone Dry Zero water traction....both day's felt better then with the original chassis....but i could still feel a difference from a Genuine 2.0T and not to mention the LIST of part's you would need is up there in $$

i have no plan to convert mine to 2.0 and yes i know there is more droop on 2.0t i would not try to convert except for the longer chassis and in my opinion the 1.5 is just fine 2.0t is way to go but if just want better handling 1.0 make it a 1.5 and on my track in my back yard the 2.0t is only about .5 seconds a lap faster than my 1.5t but that is probably because i am used to my 1.5 or extended 1.0 if you will .
if talking of buggy 1.0 converted is the way to go...
