Default Any one know?

Does anyone know - maybe heard or read some where if LOSI will sell the starter box that comes with the RTR seperately?

Its a way better box. Which kicks the universal ons but.....

I would check Horizonhobbys.com first as they are the distributer of losi.

Two words.... OFNA BOX.

I don't see the advantage to the losi RTR box. It's not as powerful as the ofna box, and you it's not like the other losi box where you could start buggy and truggy on it. It's just a normal starter box. Not even that great of one at that.

The RTR box is way better and stronger than the original losi box.. I know about the OFNA box, but as of 10 years ago, I will never buy any thing else from Ofna

Dude,,,Matt Chambers, Dustin Evens and Lars Johnson race at the same tracks you do. There isn't much more, "inside" than that. Of cource, getting them to talk is a whole other battle.....

I have seen a couple on the ebay chop shops. You might want to check there.

I own the 2.0 rtr and even though its my first nitro model I don't feel very confident in the starter box.I've already had to get another wheel for it because it has alot thinner of a wheel on it then the regular losi box.I plan on getting another box as soon as I can.

Heres a comparison of the wheels

Big one = the regular losi wheel and the smaller one is the one that comes in the rtr. Both wheels are brand new in the picture.

I feel the same way about Ofna. I got rid of everything that had anything to do with Ofna, but I have to say I love their truggy starter box. It will start anything. I recently broke in 3 engines that would have killed the Losi box, 2 GRP's and an OS speed and the Ofna truggy box did not even break a sweat. I never had to unstick the flywheel because the box could not turn the engine over when I was heat cycling, not one time. I dont really like Ofna stuff either but I have to hand it to them their truggy starter box is the absolute best out there.

Ya I'm running 2 of these in the rtr box

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LE2627&P=1

had to unstick the flywheel a ton during break in.I've ran a gallon through it and its still not very consistent turning it over everytime.

+1..no question about it..a couple of minor mods it will last forever

Solder the wires at all connections directly, change out the Tamiya clip for Deans, and change the wires to Wet noodles
