Our new differentials will be very light and durable. Here is our new differential case next to a coin to show the size.

Malik,
Yeah you can upgrade the current Matrix to the new car. However to truely get the Matrix II it would be easier to get the entire kit. There are quite a few detailed changes.
Crim3Wav3,
Internal diameter is 1 inch and external diameter is 1.2 inch. You were close.

Do they have internal steel reinforcement? I guess the benefit of a smaller internal diameter means less of a moment arm on the cross pins = less force on the cross pin guides sidewalls. interesting.

Less weight and mass in the drivetrain is always a good thing.

Hey Andrew,
What improvements will make it over to the allready awsome Matrix TR?

Crim3Wav3,
Yes there is an internal steel reinforcment which is where the 8x16 bearing rides on.
Stefan,
Although the Current Matrix line of product is very durable and easy to drive, we have put the Matrix on a huge diet by lightening it up. We have changed some of the geometry to incorporate better handling on certain types of tracks and much, much, more.
Large Orange Font,
