They are the same but they use there own numbers for weights. Just stay with one brand and work the numbers. I saw an cross-chart on the OFNA boards once that was pretty good so check that. Don't lose you mind with Brand Names, just stay with one that your LHS has and work thru it.

Its best to stick with one brand because of the inconsitency between brands. Ive found it can sometimes make a big difference especially if your trying to copy a setup.

For instance I have a RC8. I used to have a Kyosho and Kyosho oils. I tried the 5k,5k,5k set-up using the Kyosho oils and hated it. Later on I sold the Kyosho oils because they were so expensive and bought AE oils and tried the 5k,5k,5k set-up again and it was much different. I think the Kyosho oils were thicker than the AE ones.

I just went back and re-read your post and I think Xray and Mugen oils are close. Xray originally had a different measurement from the other brands but switched over to the same about the time they released the XB8EC.

Everyone knows Xray is very detail oriented so I believe their ratings are probably very accurate and I think Mugen is also very reliable.

Trinity oils were horribly inconsistent and OFNA is another brand I have heard complaints about.
