Default The right off sst

What exactly does the offset of a rim do?
Im guessing it affects the steering some way.
Anyone think they can clear this up for me?

Offset is the placement of the hub in relation to the front face of the wheel. Offset will change the track width of the vehicle. The most common offset's in truggy wheels are zero and 1/2 offset. A Zero offset wheel will make the truggy narrower, and a 1/2 offset wheel will make the truggy wider. Most truggies use Zero offset, however some still use 1/2 offset. You need the correct offset wheel for your truggy. Running the wrong offset in either direction will drastically change the handling of the truggy. You can also use hub extenders in the same way as offset. For instance if you have a truggy built for 1/2 offset, you can use 1/2" hub extansions and zero offset wheels to form the correct track width. If you widen a truggy too much by using the wrong extenders or offset wheels, the truggy will be sluggish and have no steering. If you run a setup too narrow, the truggy will loose a lot of stability.
