I know there are already post about this i've read them ALL. not new to the hobby but getting back into it after 9 or so years. currently got my kyosho 7.5 back together but want to up date.

now i know the D8 has minor issues with the driveshafts and all but i really want to hear from people that have them. any other problems. i also like push my cars and run on the edge of my ability and i heard that the Losi doesn't like this. is that true? Also have looked at quite a few losi's around here and it seems as if the plastic arm wear out quick and have alot of slop? Last thing im also toying with the idea of converting it to electric. anyone have pros and cons nitro vs electric. Oh ya i have all the chargers and lipo's so don't list that as a con

i drove the eight 1.0 stock and pushed it and yes it does start to slide the rear end a bit but i drove a 2wd gas truck so that is nothing it drives smooth as hell. but man that thing got some steering

No wrong buggy for the job. I own a d8, easy buggy to drive not the tuff as the losi but still a good buy also parts are cheap.Dont let people to tell u that it is junk because it isnt. The losi 2.0 is a good buggy not as I would say hard to handle as the 1.0. The losi is more of agile where the d8 is more surefooted. my 2 cents good luck

the only slop i had so far its still new is the steering rack with the bushings in it i tried to tighted my steering saver up and that doesnt do much but it still has fine steering but they do make a upgraded king heads steering rack with better bushings i might get that but i dont know why they did just put bearings in them to begin with i worder if u can replace tham with bearings

I would go with the 2.0 simply because If you're serious about the whole electric conversion losi already has an 8-E and if you get the nitro kit a brushless conversion kit exists with everything you need to make the conversion for 400 dollars.

i know the losi has and electric conversion as does hot bodies. losi has the E 2.0 and Hot bodies is coming out with the flux in a few months probably. i was wondering what people thought about the Elactric 8th scales. handling, power, and durability wise?

One of the guys at my club runs a brushless D8, it's incredibly fast and especially good over the jumps. One thing though, his seems a lot more skittish and twitchy than the nitro D8s we run with, that could just be his setup though. I think he's got the Tekin RX8 system in it.

Has anyone out there driven an 8ight 2.0, a D8, and rc8 that can actually give the pros and cons of each car. i'm still stuck and cant decide on what car to get.

it's not an E thread. It WILL be nitro just wanted input on the electric for something different down the road possibly

let me start with d8 have not driven one but have seen a few break but when running look fast. rc8b is good buggy i didnt like cause dosnt carry good corner speed driven the way i drive which is hard to corner slide around and gun it out ae car didnt like that style it is more of on road apex corner style car losi nice for me very stable in corners jumping tons of steering and can be pushed gets loose but not out of control loose and parts support for the losi is good every where that has 1/8th r/c as for electric my home track is the home track for the owners of tekno r/c so get to see all the best electric stuff only thing i dont like aoubt them is 20 min run is iffy and some cant make the 15 min main either so unless there is enough of them at your local track to run e only class will have to deal with dumping worries in 15min plus mains. for me it is losi 2.0 and mugen would be my second choice just didnt liek support for mugen in my area

i made the switch to a d8 from the rc8 and while the rc8 was a good car the d8 seems to jump a little bit better and seems to have more center to exit corner but that could of just been my set up why it didnt steer enough the car is durable too never really broke parts on either car
