My new local track is a very hard pack,rough not to bad broken up and alight coat of dust on it, they water after practice, right before the 1st heat and then again after the 2nd round of quals. then maybe before the main. The track sucks it up fast, by the time Expert Buggy goes it always dry.
I was running M2 bowties and wore out a set of them, tried a set of old but good Panther Kmomdo Dragon 1 and 2 today and they did ok till the old glue let go, then put a new st of Crimefighters on they were a little loose, tried bow-fighters= rear was loose. A few guys are using Werks Lugs in 100 and 200 compounds.
Anyway after all that what do you guys think? As long as the track has a little water I am hooked with M2 Bowties, V3's in the back And V2's in ft.

I recently had the pleasure to try the New Proline Calipers(M3) and I must say they are the best tire I have run to date..We almost always run our track wet, or at least moist though..I would not hesitate to recommend you try a set of Calipers, maybe get M2, and M3 so you can switch em out when the track dries

I would run Panther Boa's T945 in either medium soft or Soft. They have great forward bit great side bite. I run 1 set for a full day of racing and 3-4 full practice days and there is still about 40% Tread left. Great tire for your surface. Im racing on similar surfaces.

the best wearing tire out right now is the aka stuff if on dry semii dry can run either medium or soft cityblocks and if bowfighter works then try crossbeam set up which is aka version of bowfighter works very well in soft compound on dry but would try cityblocks first they are hooked on the dry or semi dry tracks as jaz240 said the new calibers are also good but where out faster than the aka cityblocks good luck would try either of these medium pin tires

+1 on aka stuff. I use cityblocks and I beams or some combo. I would suggest med compound as their soft is the softest I have seen from any mfg. Give aka a try I switched and have yet to find any other tire that even comes close, not proline, not jconcepts, not works, not losi, none in my opinion. And the way they mount up is way too easy. The city blcks are a great multipurpose and I beams work better when it dries out or is very wet.

I haven't tried the AKA stuff yet but on dry hard pack Losi red compound works good.

I have had great success with Panther Raptors on similar surfaces and they will outlast any Proline tire. You could try soft or super soft, but you will naturally get longer life with soft.

Panther Boa's T945 looks like my Komodo's
I will pick up some AKA's been wanting to try them.
Bowfighter's didn't work= too loose in rear.
PL Calipers did work but my Komodo 1-2 combo was better

Has anybody used AKA's new Gridiron?
It's made for hardpacked with a little dust, looks good to, like a big Holeshot.
Holeshots work at my track but where they are small pin they wear really fast!

I like running JConcepts Crowbars or Crossbows(blue compound). Hitmen are also a good all around tire and would work well.

in hot weather I run medium.......if its dusty, I would go cityblocks......your gridirons wont be very hooked unless you guys sweep the lines to try and form somewhat of a groove. That's what we do, and the traction gets real consistent, It kinda blows to see the track watered between rds x and x, then gone for your rd...........maybe ask if you guys could sweep instead of watering, to keep the traction the same/similar for EVERYONE

The track is grooved, big line just a little dusty in spots! 80-85% is blued and getting better every time. And I and getting a set of City Blocks to glue up myself, just couldn't pass up the Gridirons

Soft City Blocks, JC Crosshairs or Hitmen (blue), or PL Calibers should work well.

Also, I have had GREAT luck running M3 Revolvers under the conditions you're talking about. AKA or V2 wheels.
