Default pipe hitting tank

i have a 8t 2.0. im running the vspec with a ae 2035 pipe.

i was cleaning the truggy tonight and noticed my tank is melting due to the pipe resting on the tank. i put a piece of velcro between the pipe and tank but was wondering if there is any other fix?

My friend have a 2.0 Truggy with the V-spec in and he had to put a heat shield between the tank and pipe. It works for him and he have not had any problems with it. I believe he got it from the LHS.
