LRP vs. Axial

I dont know which one to get, either a LRP .30 or the axial .32? I know nothing about either of them other than what the specs Ive red on their own web site. Any input from your guys would be greatly appreciated....THANKS

Anyone????

spawn_x 06-05-2009 10:34 AM

I'd probably get the LRP myself

Picco .28 is what i run

I second the LRP, it makes my truck a wheelie machine, insane torque right from the start, still tons of smoke and power.

Easy to tune and has held a tune (with adjustments made for temps/humidity only) for almost a gallon.

:D

LRP

Integra 06-07-2009 06:42 AM

Neither....Picco ALL the way.

IMO Axial and LRP is RTR rubbish.

BackYardBasher 06-07-2009 07:46 AM

Damn, I dont know what to do! heard the Axial's are made my HPI and are really good and that the LRP's are trash! Ive been looking at the Werks .21 alot and really thinking about that one. Thanks for all your input

I would agree that compared to a Picco both don't hold a candle, although I've heard a share of good about both axial and lrp

Would anyone be able to tell me why the Werks .21 is much more expensive ($230) than the LRP .28 ($150) and even the Axial 32. ($189) to me its odd that a smaller motor cost more

1 way to look at it is .21's are race motor's..... .28 and .30's are more basher oriented and are made of cheaper material.

NOT to say ALL .28-.30's are junk....but the axial and LRP sure are....which is directly reflected by the price.

Agreed.

May I ask what you are putting this engine into? And if you intend to race or bash? I see your username, but thought I would ask anyway. If you are racing stay away from the big motors. A good .21 is all you will ever need.

just bought the axial 32 spec 1s for my jammin truggy im running a 14 tooth clutch and it has awsome lowend power landing off ramps itll pull a short wheelie and pulling off the corners it will usually lift up the right front wheel but not too much speed its not bad but i have a hard time clearing some of the jumps at the track it has the torque to power out of the corners but it just tops out too quickly im gonna try and put a 15 or 16 tooth clutch and that should help balance it out alot....its also not bad on fuel for being a .32
its proving to be a pretty reliable engine,
for the price.................. its not bad

It is going int to an SC8, and I do not race but Iam very competitive with the fellow boyz with SC8s

what are they running for motors ?

BackYardBasher 06-08-2009 06:32 AM

2 of em just blew their stock motors, so 1 got the LRP .28 and the other a Axial .32. They were still breaking it in the last time we were on the track so I didnt get to see how mine compaired to theirs
