Or possibly look at a underdog and very underated buggy the Casterracing ZX-1.5R.
Parts availability is not a issue in the US and the price is right compared to more established brands.
Support is top shelf on the Casterracingusa forum and they are prepared to listen to your suggestions to improve the product.

Thanks for your answers guys. Never heard of an ZX...

to be honest the guy I'd order from in the UK (as I'm not in the US) has got distributors like CML and Mirage which would mean easy parts for Losi and Team Associated.

On the other hand Models in Motion and their distribution could send me spares for an MBX6 within 24hrs. Another point is a friend in Germany who walks in and out of the German Mugen distribution as a top mechanic so I could get the car really at a good price.

On the other hand two guys are racing RC8s and spares could be exchanged at the race track which could be an extreme advantage.

What I'll do is read through the posts for the MBX6, RC8 and Losi 8ight to get as much as information possible out of them and create an excel sheet to compare tops and hips as I call them.

I really believe that whatever buggy I would buy (Hong Nor ie.) each buggy is top level.

Thanks for your comments so far

Definitely no! Spares are too expensive and they're changing distributors again. So that's a definite no go. The MP9 is massively overpriced in my humble opinion so either MBX6, RC8B (forgot to mention would get 10% off any part ordered there) or a Losi (possibly 10% off as well).

What I deffo wanna do is get a conversion kit as well. Love brushless and the fun with nitro If I couldn't get the discount from Mugen Germany I'd go for the RC8b or Losi 8ight as I would get 10% at the hobbyshop.

@mamba4life
Sounds cool. I'm trying to understand buggies and flip through the manuals. Mugen seems to be the Rolls Royce of offroad rc car buggies and Team Associated and Team Losi Cadillacs.

the xray 808 is like a bullet proof losi 8ight of a higher quality and seeing as it comes from Europe you should have no problem getting parts, not that you would need any because the car just doesn't break.
the hyper 9 should be seriously considered against anything. it is the most forward thought out car on the market and performs like it.
the mugen has nice suspension travel and should be the easiest to drive, quality second only to xray.
sorry, no experience with the rc8 but i have a team magic b8rs that has the same suspension geometry and people claim it feels like the rc8. if it does feel the same than an aggressive style will compliment the rc8 well if thats how you drive.

8 2.0 or rc8b neither one will hold you back. Considering your making a excel spreadsheet to decide you prolly suck at driving so maybe you should go with the most durable buggy you can find.

808 does not have more steering then the 2.0 imo and losi dosnt break just gets loose but according to pros looser is faster anyway in europe the tracks have small jumps for the most part might want to go with the rc8b for europe style tracks
