Its a mat you place on your table to keep parts and stuff from rolling away when you are working on your car. I use a small indoor outdoor rug. It cost about $4 at Lowes.

The losi pitmat is ok but it really does not do a whole lot. I use an upgrade mat, its rubber and has areas fro screws and tools. Some drivers use towels or rugs like stated earlier.

I use the Mugen matt, I like it better then just a towel because the bottom of it is like a bathroom mat so it doesnt slide around. It might even be a bathroom rug!

i just put my pit table and chair in a big plastic kiddie swimming pool so if anything does get away, it ends up in my self contained space, and if it gets really hot at the track, add water, and lounge with your buds!!

I have a Losi pit mat. I think Losi was sitting on a bunch of banners and decided to sell them as pit mats. It has the brass things (rivets?) on each corner for hanging on nails.

In fact, I'm going to hang mine since a towel makes a better mat than this does.

this isnt the losi pit mat, you have the losi pit hammock, you run rop from each corner to 4 posts and then rest your car in it while you work, it catches all, and doubles as a lounge for your cat, small dog, hamster, whatever

Great observation about they eyelet holes. Never even dawned on me and I've had mine almost 2 years!

I can definitely state that you do NOT want to solder anything over this mat!
