Make sure the crank is good before you spend the money on a speed piston and sleeve. It is common for Std. V-specs to wear the crank fairly quickly, you need to mic the crank and make sure it's within specs. If the motor just lost compression without any scratches in the sleeve it would be much cheaper to just have the sleeve pinched. ($15.00) It is really easy to change the std. sleeve to speed specs as the only difference is exhaust port width.

+ 1 on pinching,

No point in p/s/r if your crank is worn out. or get speed crank while you're at it.

better yet, get the pro mod vspec
