Default Track in Prince William County Virginia..any interest?

Hi

I'm new to this forum. I tried posting once so if this is a duplicate, sorry.

I'm in Prince William County Virginia a few miles off I95 and am interested in designating at least 4 acres initially for and outdoor off road track. I plan on having an indoor facility as well soon after.

I was wondering if there is any interest in my area?

Any suggestions or comments will be appreciated.

Kat

Sign me up, and the big line of rc crazed Nothern Virginia
racers behind me. I don't think you will have any trouble
keeping the drivers stand full. A track in this area would
draw alot of business. Keep us informed and if you need
any help, just let us know how we can pitch in.

You can bet your ass you'll get good turnouts. A nice track will draw racers from MD, PA, NJ, DE too! You should contact Steve Wood on here, he's a great track builder! PM me if you want his contact info.

Thanks for the responses

I was concerned there may not be enough of an interest, but I feel confident that we will be able to fill a need in this area.

My boss (hubby) seems excited as well, he says he could be ready within 2 weeks...we will see..lol

I will keep you all updated on our progress.

Many thanks,
Kat

With the amount of land you're working with you can build a very nice track. There are a great deal of Southern Maryland racers that would love a track closer than Awesome down in Fredericksberg. I know a great deal of racers including myself who will travel 3+ hours to run at a nice track.

Build it and they will come. Make sure you have good clean dirt and people will love it. No ones going to travel to run a rock filled and rutted track, so keep that in mind

Good luck and keep us all posted.

a Northern Va. track would be awsome. There are a bunch of guys who go to Hobby Hangar in Chantilly and both Manassas and Lake Ridge Hobbytowns that are always complaining about places to race. This would be a GREAT thing.

Are there any new developments on this project that we can help with? Just curious. Thanks.

You would get a HUGE turnout for a track in this area. As Frosty said, people are driving 3+ hours to race so something local would be a huge bonus. Plus, if you build an indoor track you will be guaranteed racers for the entire winter season.
