mAh is the capacity, more capacity = less charging

the voltage is the same for rechargeable single cell's 1.2v IIRC

Of course a 1500mah battery will be enough to start the car. Just keep it on the charger between heats or whenever you are not using it and you will be fine.

here's a thought. if you were willing to spend the $28 for the super hot shot. just buy 2 of the regular hot shots @ $14 and you will be set for just about anything.

I have the racers edge ignithter and it works well. I replaced the battery with the racers edge replacement and the replacement cell was bad in the package. The original ignithter and cell worked great. My fav ignithter is a team magic one that came with a 4400 battery that I got from wolfehobbies.com. Far better quality than the racers edge.

I would go with the Hot Shot. Its standard in part of the world also. The ones that takes batteries suck. I have/had all the Hot Shots. I use the long one now and keep the short ones for back. I havent used the short ones for a couple months. I hope I can find them.

Go with the Hot Shots. It will not fail you.

I got a Hot Shot 2 charged it held a glow plug with pliars and placed the igniter on it and the plug isn't get hot. I've charged it again tried and same thing. The igniter does have a twist lock. Does it have to be turned on the plug for it to begin heating the plug? I've pushed the plug all the way up into the igniter... and nothing.

Super hotshot here. Will last and last.

The center of the ignitor must be pressed in to make a connection for testing plugs.

Try twisting the plug so that it stays inside the ignitor.

Okay - I sent the first Hot-Shot 2 back as defective. Got another one. Charged it for 14 hours and same thing. Put it on my plug, attempted to start the motor, and it wouldn't start. Pulled the plug out (known good plug) and it wasn't even warm. What's up with these Hot-Shots? I'm getting a different starter.

Hotshot is the standard around here & have been for years. Only problem with them is they dont lock onto all pulgs. Never seen anybody have a problem with them.My big one has lasted 3-4 yrs now.

ya I got tired of messing with the thing that you have to put up
on most ignites. so I just removed it and put a ouch less hair band
on it now all I have to do is push it on on twisting or puling up just
push it straight on and it will stay on. hears a pic
