Default Sealants for Nitro engines.

I have been using Mega Black by Versachem for sealing up engines. It works great and haven't had an air leak except for front bearings since I started using this a couple years ago. Here's the problem; everytime I need to use the Mega Black I have to dig and dig to get to the fresh sealant. The sealant will setup inside the tube with the cap on and inside air tight containers. http://www.versachem.com/catalog.aspx?prodID=180

So I want to try a different brand of sealant. I've been waiting for the Lucky 7 to come off back order at Amainhobbies. But I'm ready to get something else and so I think I've settled on the Racer's Edge sealant http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/17237 . I'm afraid I'll have the same luck as the Mega Black though. I don't want the sealant to set-up inside the tube when I need to use it.

Let me know what you guys think.
thanx

High temp copper RTV sealant, safe for sensors so it will be safe for your engine.

So is Lucky7 actually a gasket maker, or is it more of a filler that takes up imperfections in the metal to metal fit?

It is neither.. It's a coating sealant. Not intended to be used like a gasket maker and should never be used internally. Lucky 7 is a wick drying air seal intended for external use only.

RTV of any form is not Nitro Proof....it may appear sealed but sure enough in a week or 2 time it will be all melted and loose its seal...My personal favorite sealant is Three bond 1211 followed by Lucky 7 and Racer's Edge which is Red 1211 basically but cure's a little differently and a little different finish.
